Fujifilm at the drupa 2016
The grid was assembled using 800 running meters of 4-point trusses, was then attached to the supporting structure of the exhibition hall with the aid of around 100 motors and fitted with 440 spotlights for the illumination of the stand. A set of loudspeakers was added for targeted irradiation of the presentation area. Almost 2000 sqm of white sprinkler gauze were stretched onto the grid which created a ceiling-like horizontal surface to the stand. Above the visible part of the grid further trusses were used for the unsymmetrical hanging of seemingly “floating” frame elements carrying 3,6mm LED video walls. On the ground another 27 displays were set up across the stand space, fed by hidden prewiring under the floor which had been fitted by stand builders. BTL was responsible for the complete planning and implementation of the ceiling construction, the illumination of the stand as well as the delivery and installation of the LED video walls, the displays, the public address system and the media direction. The planning stage included consultancy services for example regarding the venting of the machines’ exhaust air through the hall ceiling.
